Bard Gets Real
Bard Gets Real!, or BGR!, is a new program at Bard High School Early College (BHSEC) Queens for Year 1 and Year 2 students. In collaboration with Student Activities and Bard DNA, the BGR! program aims to create an inclusive and diverse environment for students to explore their social identities, beliefs, and biases. BGR! consists of a 2-day retreat and a 1-credit college seminar course in the Spring. Y1 and Y2 students can look out for the application in the Fall of each school year.
BLM Task Force
The Black Lives Matter Task Force is a powerful force of students, faculty, and staff committed to addressing issues impacting the Black community at BHSECQ. It is comprised of both paid positions and volunteer positions where task force members serve on one of the following committees: Community Service & Outreach Committee, Social Engagement & Programming Committee, or the Mental Health Service & Support Committee.
